Crayon Cupcakes – What to do with Broken Crayons

image

Anyone with kids knows that a brand new pack of crayons doesn’t stay perfect for long. Little hands often use too much pressure causing them to snap! So what do you do with all those broken pieces? Make some crayon cupcakes of course! Your little ones will have fun helping you make these and even more fun using them! Try it out!

What You Need

Muffin Tin
Paper Muffin/Cupcake Liners
Old/Broken Crayons (No black, grey or brown)

How To

Preheat your oven to 300 degrees. Place liners in your muffin tins. Remove all labels from the crayons. Break the crayons into small pieces. Place the crayons into lined muffin tins. Feel free to mix and match different colours and make different combinations. Place the muffin tin in the oven and cook until all the crayons are melted. Remove from the oven and let cool. When done take them out of the tins and remove the liners. They are ready for colouring time!

  1. I love, love, love this! I used to make these as a child and had so much fun not only making them, but using them too. I had totally forgot about them until now so I’m so glad I ran across this article! I want to make them with my daughter soon.

Thanks for sharing! Love the color combinations, by the way.
